    Was very pleased to get two belts delivered to my door for less than $4. Belts were fine, but did NOT have Hoover part number 38528-040 on them as shown in the picture. Also, belts were a good deal wider than the original. Contacted Vacuum Supply Store Customer Service, they promptly assured me it was the correct belt, so no problems. Only wish that the Amazon photo was accurate, to avoid this confusion.

    Also note that this part replaces/is the same as Hoover belt 38528-027, which is what I was originally looking for.

    Perfect to repair old vacuum, June 21, 2014

    We had an old Hoover upright vacuum cleaner than no longer worked. We couldn’t find replacement parts anywhere in town. We finally found them online and ordered them. We were able to replace the belt…and the vacuum cleaner now works perfectly! I know the modern way is to toss things that don’t work, but we thought it was awfully nice to make a simple repair and have a functioning machine again.
