Vacuum Cleaner / Hoover – Loss of Suction?

3

Ok this may seem like a stupid question.. but…

I have a bagless hoover and its losing suction. There doesn’t appear to be a blockage but does that mean the hoover is on its way out or is there some other possible problem?

Thanks in advance (from a dumb blonde) lol

  1. could be several different things. first turn your vacuum over then turn it on, is the brush moving ? If not you need a new belt. Two there could be blockage in your hose, straighten a wire clothes hanger , stick it down the hose.Amd make sure your hoses are on properely. Always make sure your filters are clean, wash them in hot water and air dry.

  2. hoses are not hooked up correctly. They should be hooked in at the bottom only if you are doing attachments.

  3. If everything is hooked up correctly and there are no blockages in the hoses, then you’ll probably need to clean the filter or replace it.
