What do these vacuum settings mean?

3

I’ve been using a vacuum cleaner but haven’t known which setting to use. I vacuum my carpet (obviously) which I can’t tell if it requires a high, bare, or 7 floor setting.
So the options are as follows: Bare Floor, 7 Floor, and High Pile settings.

WHAT DO THESE MEAN????
Which one should I use on a carpet? Does the type of carpet alter which setting I should use?

And by the way, I have a Dirt Devil Swivel Guide Vision (Bagless)

  1. bare floor would be for hardwood, or linoleum, non carpeting floors; use the middle one for your regular carpeting; the High Pile would be for shag, etc., so unless you have shag, use the middle setting. Good luck!

  2. bare floor is for hardwood and other solid surfaces, it turns the power nozzle off and puts the head at the lowest setting. High pile is for a more shag like carpet.
