Its bagless with a rinseable filter. Suddenly, it has started blowing dirt out the front, and that thing that goes around in cirles inside the collection cannister, stopped going around and around. My son said he cleaned it out, and it should be working ok, but the sweeper doesnt suck the dirt up, and nothing is going into the collection chamber and that thing quit going around in cirlces inside the collection chamber. Whats wrong? Sorry for the bad explanation, but I really dont wanna dump another pile of money on a new vacuum.
Have you cleaned the filter/filters (sometimes these machines actually have more than one filter that need to be cleaned)? I would check that and the belt first (as the other answer described).

a possibility is the belt has broken or come off. w/out the belt, the brush will not turn and be useless. try turning the vacuum on, lift it on its back and see if the brush moves, if it doesnt, chances are the belt came off or broke-
