This thing sucks good!,
I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for a product before, but I feel this baby truly deserves some recognition! I am so amazed at how well this vaccuum does its job! I thought you had to pay a lot of money to get a good vaccuum, you know, one that really works, so I went and bought a Dyson DC-25 Animal to see what it could do. I don’t own any pets, but I thought that a vaccuum designed to pick up even all the pet hair in a house would be the best, and I’d heard all the hype about Dyson and how it’s supposed to be so great. Then I brought it home, tried it out and thought, “really? this is supposed to be worth slmost $600?” I could not justify all that money for something that seemed to work no better than all the others I’d had before, so I took it back, disappointed. I decided to buy this dirt devil instead for less than a fifth the price based off reviews here, and man am I glad I did!! I tried it out as soon as it arrived and it sucked up stuff even the Dyson had missed – I mean a lot of stuff! This vaccuum is awesome. Even better than the Dyson and so much cheaper, it’s a no-brainer. Plus it’s still bagless, has a hepa filter, and all the attachments you need. The only thing I don’t like is one of the attachments always seems to fall off when I’m really getting into it going under the table or around other furniture, but I can totally live with that. Buy this thing and be happy!! Or get the Dyson so you can tell all your friends what a dum-dum you are for spending so much money on a so-so vaccuum.

awesomeeeeee,
Let me just say that this vacuum is absolutely amazing! My husband picked it out online sunday night for me and it got delivered today as I was on my way out the door and as soon as I got back home I ripped that baby open. Easy assembly, only two screws for the handle. Plugged her in and fired her up. Now I vacuumed yesterday with the only vacuum I had left (Hoover circa 1965 that had belonged to my grandmother), as I had blown up a $150 Bissell a few months back. The sad thing is, the antique Hoover picks up probably a tad bit more then the 5 year old Bissell. I knew that this new Dirt Devil would be picking up some of what the Hoover had left behind, but I was truly amazed. I filled up the canister with just my living room, which is 12×17. I have two short haired dogs, so I frequently use the Carpet Fresh that helps to release dog hair from carpet. The canister had about 1.5 inches of Carpet Fresh in it, and then there was about a 4 inch pile of dog hair all the way around. I just vacuumed yesterday, mind you. I was so excited, I felt like a 7 year old on Christmas morning. I was also truly disgusted at how much the old vacuums had left behind. My carpet was actually about 3 shades brighter then it was this morning, and it was night time! I can not believe the suction that this vacuum has, and it is fairly quiet for a 12 amp motor. With only a budget of around $100, I was not expecting much, but I feel like I bought one worth a $1000. It seems sturdier then most vacuums, even ones that cost 5 times as much. I sold large and small appliances at a major chain store before for two years, and this tops anything we had on the shelf. It comes with all of the attachments, has a cord long enough for two rooms, and switches carpet height easily. There is a light on the front, the filters are easily accessed (and washable!), and it even seems to be self propelled (don’t know if that is listed as a feature). The only thing that I would have liked more was a longer hose, but the way it is will work. Small thing to live with, considering how wonderful the rest is. It cleaned my couches beautifully. At one point I even lost the non-powered attachment in between the cushions because there was so much suction! I could not recommmend a better vacuum. My mom is going to be jealous; she bought a $200 Hoover last year for pet hair, and it doesn’t perform half as well as this $100 Dirt Devil!

Best vacuum I’ve ever owned,
My “good” vac died on me, and, as luck would have it, I found a discarded “Light” Dirt Devil… Never wanted to get a bagless machine, but I was so impressed with my little find that I thought I’d get a better model for my needs (discovered that opening the dirt canister over a toilet does the trick).
Well, just blow me over. This UD70095 is one heck of a machine. Dog hair is sort of a condiment in my home. It is all over even with my best cleaning efforts. Well, the amount of dog hair and general crud that the UD70095 picks up is simply amazing. Really has made a difference in the “condiment” situation. Also, it doesn’t get “clogged” up with the dog hair in the dirt bin. I like that the machine has various levels for carpet heights, it has a light and the longest crevice tool I have ever come across. For the money, you simply cannot get a better machine.
