Does anyone have (and recommend) the Eureka Capture Pet Plus Bagless

3

Model number is 8863AVZ. I have three long haired cats and a golden retriever, so I have a lot of hair around my house, My current vacuum does not seem to be doing the job. I’m sure the Dyson vacuum for animals is better but it is out of my price range. I am leaning toward this one because it has the dual edge cleaners and because you can turn the brush on and off. Any insight is appreciated!!

  1. I believe the Hoover pet vac that was rated highest by Consumer Reports. Eureka is a good brand and I bet it would do an excellent job.

  2. I can’t comment on that model, but I can say that when you have a lot of pets, your vacuum needs to be serviced sometimes, especially if it used to work better than it does now. Unless it was really an inexpensive vac, it might not be a bad idea to bring it in for service. They can unclog it and get the hair and litter (scoopable litter is death for vacuum cleaners) out and it will work better for a while.

You could wait for a little while and check for reviews again. It looks like it must be a new vacuum because there aren’t any reviews online yet. Or check out Consumer Reports at the library.

    Good luck!

  3. Honestly, I had it and at the time, I had medium coat cats/dogs and a shedding bunny. I thought it’d work, as I was hand cleaning the carpets and furniture daily, but even with the very little hair I had on my chair, it clogged (with one use, so I was unclogging and servicing it regularly). You could try it, but I was never able to use it again. No matter what I did, it’d just clog back up and wouldn’t have any suction. I ended up giving it to a friend with a single cat and she loves it.
