I purchases one from Sears (Kenmore brand) and thought the concept was good-vacuum and then dump the dirt in the garbage and your good to go. However…I find that the bagless vacuums cause more dust than when I just used my old Kenmore vacuum that required bags to be changed every once in a while.
Does anybody have any suggestions? I often go outside already to dump the tube in the trash and have to bang the filter (and often hand pick the bits of dust out of the filter)….It shouldn’t be this difficult, but I really do not see the miracles of the bagless vac?

I used to have a bagless but now I have an Oreck. Oreck has been the best vacuum I have ever purchased. It does have a bag but when removed there is a cover that puls shut when in the process of exchanging bags. I used to have a wind tunnel and that was the worst vacuum I have ever owned. It was expensive in cost and in quality was not empressive. Plus it broke a mew months later. Go Oreck if at all possible, I have not switched up from it for 4 years now and it still works. Plus it came with a cordless iron and a compact totable vacuum cleaner which is awesome for doing steps and vehicles.
Yes they make a mess.
I know! You can get a vacuum with a bag and suck all the remnants out of the bagless vac 😛
well i have a bissel bagless and its the best vacuum that i have ever owned. i dont have a problem with dust flying all over the place. when u empty it put the container down in the trash can then empty it. and as for the filter i can clean mine under water and no dust. i would never own another bagged vacuum. they make ur house stink. plus they dont really pick up dirt.
