Well, I actually prefer Oreck. They’re the best out of several that I’ve tried so far, comes in lots of cute colors, and is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. I don’t remember how expensive they are though, but right now if you order one you get the handheld vac too, which I love!
l like the bissle bagles vacum it has great suction and you never need bags and you can wash the filters when they get dirty and it is under $90 its great
The bissell may be a tad stronger out of the box, but within a few weeks asyou use it, the Dirt Devil is better. The Bissells for some reason clog up faster. While they are $50 at Wal-Mart, the filters are close to that, so they are a bad long-term purchase. Orecks clog too. (but they are ok) For bagless, dirt Devils are really good. Yes, their filters are expensive too, but you change them less in the long run. Obviously, bagged units are better (in my opinion) Look for a Hoover Preferred Widepath at $110 or the better Panasonic Red ‘Wave’ at $200.
I bought a Bissel upright at Wal Mart for $49 and it works great. It is bagless and has attachments. Don’t know why anyone would pay more.
