What should I look for when buying a vacuum?

3

I have bought two new vacuums in the past two years. The first vacuum was a fairly cheap one, but after that failed within a year, I bought a more expensive bagless vacuum from a recognizable company that looked good. This vacuum has also stopped working. I clean it out everytime I used it, but lately it hasn’t picked anything up to clean out. I need to get a vacuum that works, but I want one that will work for a long time. What features should I look for and what companies make good vacuums?

  1. Wet and dry is not a bad idea, and with that you can buy a rug rat, an attachment for the vacuum, the vacuum suction itself makes the rug rat work. and if you don’t like that idea, try hoover, that make great vacuums, a bit pricey but worth it. Between 2 and 3 hundred, should be good, if you want a vacuum to last. BOL.

  2. If the second one is running but lost its suck , you might have a plugged hose .Turn on the vacuum and then pull the hose out and put back in . If there is a difference in the motor speed , the hose is plugged . Take more time with your machine to understand how it works , if you don’t develop a feeling for it , any one will fail one way or the other .
Also could be plugged in any of the filters between bag and motor. Have you ever used it with a torn bag ??
