I have a Eureka uno bagless vac and I used it once for about 20 min. didnt "suck" anything up that would hurt the vacuum. About 2 min into vacumming the motor sounded so loud, comparable to a lawn mower. I turned it off and let it cool. I looked over the manual and it states that it will automatically turn off it it gets too hot. (it didnt turn off..it just got louder)so I waited about 40 min like it said to wait..and went to vacuum again…still the loud noise, but it was working. I tirned it off and today after 5 days..I tried to use it again…The noise is still there. I changed the belt just incase and there is nothing stuck in the vacuum as I can see. If anyone knows anything about vacuums..please help. Did i burn the motor after 20 min?? I find this hard to believe..its not a cheap vacuum and of course, I lost the reciept:( Someone help…
sorry I ment 20 min into vacuuming, not 2. I know they are loud to start with..but it was siunding like a normal vacuum for the first 20 min..after that it started sounding like a lawn mower..its not normal…
Well not sure if it is a problem but I do know that vacuums are purposely made to run louder than they need to. People feel that the louder the vacuum, the better its power. If you really think it is a problem, take it in for repair.
