do you find bagless vacuums pointless and MESSIER?

so, I bough a bagless vacuum and the instructions say to empty it out after each use, so I have to also tap on the filter and all this dust just flies out everywhere and it leaves a whole other problem and it gives me allergies. I thought it would be much better not having to buy a bag whenever it gets full.
it is such a hassle to clean out the filter..ugh!!

  1. Every one is different and we all have our likes and dislikes. If you have dust allergies then you should switch back to your old vacuum, as for me i prefer the bag less, i don’t empty it after every use i only empty it at night when i take the garbage out and i empty it outside, the only difference i see is that i don’t have to buy bags for it, but since we have never worn shoes inside the house and we only eat at the dining room there’s never any dirt so i can’t say that there’s a huge hygienically difference.

  2. Here’s the thing – your bag vacuum is going to pick up the same crap and it probably isn’t filtering it as well. With a bagless you can actually see when it needs to be emptied. With a bagless, the filtration system gets just as clogged, but not changing or cleaning the filter shortens the life of the vacuum immensely.

  3. I find just the opposite! I just replaced my old, worn out bagless with another bagless of the same brand (Bissell) today because I like it so much!

The Hepa filters are great – especially for allergies, there is less waste because there are no bags to throw away, it is more cost effective because there are no bags to buy. When I empty the canister, I take the lid off my garbage can and tilt the canister all the way into the garbage can and I never have dust go anywhere. I don’t have to tap the filters either – maybe you just bought a cheap brand and/or don’t quite know how to empty it yet?
