Sounds like you just sucked up something solid that won’t pass through the filtration system. Hope you shut it off quickly. Now go and look and see what your vac found
It got jammed. As simple as that. Take out the filter, or whatever it is on your vacuum. And then take out all the stuff. It you take it all out, it should work well.
The belt may have broken or slipped or come off. I’d try cleaning it out first, THEN check the sound. If that doesn’t work, check the belt.

sounds like its clogged. i had to take the hose off on my moms vac and pull out a bunch of junk
it need one maintenance.
