I have been taken on a bagless vacuum!! Motor burned up in less than 3 months and 15 uses! Eureka will not cover warantee since they claim it was "consumer neglegence" which is bull crap! I heard bagged systems with steel/metal components are the best to buy. Do any of you out there know where I can find a reliable, long lasting vacuum, at a good price?? Thanks for your help. Mark
I got the Dyson, I figured sense I vacuum twice a week and have 2 cats and 2 dogs, it would be the best investment for my family. This vacuum never clogs it has a great hepa filter system for cleaner air, and also has a 5 year warranty. It is defiantly worth the money. I got it at bed bath & beyond and used my 20% off coupon so I got $100 off the price =)
I had my other piece of crap vaccum for only 1 1/2 years and it was $100 so I figure if I have to replace a piece of crap vac. every year or 2 and the Dyson is a 5 year warrenty it pays for itself.
i have the bissel cyclone its a bagless but it works great love it .the filters are washable so you can reuse them i only payed 80 dollers at wal-mart love it
After looking at Consumer Reports, I went with a Kenmore Progressive with Direct Drive (NO BELTS). I bought it four years ago and I have always been happy with it. It does use bags, and HEPA bags are available. When I bought it, it cost around $400. This vacuum was top rated. I have a dog and the vacuum does a great job on the dog hair.
It’s a sarcasm ,how much you pay ?you get. Best vacuum are over 500.00 (samsung – toshiba- Sonya- GE-Siemens).I had a wise man who told me buy expensive product one time is better to get many times cheap products.
Dyson.
Ugh! I had a Eureka one and it lasted like 1 year and I said NEVER AGAIN….They absolutley stink! Dirt Devils are bad as well.
I have 2 vaccuums and I think both are pretty good especially if you have pets…
The first one I have is a Bissell — The best part of this one is that its an upright but the canister easily pops off for cleaning stairs — and the suction is great!….But I have to admit that it clogs quite a bit and you have to always clean out the filter or it doesnt work well….
I decided about 6 weeks ago to splurge and I bought he Dyson Animal…..VERY NICE ! I admit that it is pretty pricey but I am always amazed at how much crap comes out of my carpets even when they look clean….IAfter I vaccuum it almost looks like I had the carpets shampoo’d……And the bagless feature on this vaccuum is exceptional in my opinion because I have allergies and the compartment seems to be sealed very well with an easy empty feature…. Also — Im amazed that it doesnt seem to clog.
I would strongly recommend you splurge and get a dyson!
