I had a vacuum that was bagless and hated it! Does anyone have a vacuum that they really like and would recommend?

I’ve used the Dyson vacuum for animal hair. It is a bagless. I really prefer vacuums with bags, but I have found the Dyson vacuum for animal hair works best when your dealing with a lot of animal hair (it doesn’t clog or overheat). Unfortunately, it costs about $500.
If you won’t go bagless, or can’t afford a Dyson, a close second is Kenmore, from Sears. They have excellent vacuums at more reasonable prices.
we have an oreck and love it. it is 9 years old and it has not broken or anthing major/minor since we bought it. we are thinking on upgrading next year to this one. (it in the source list)
I have a vacuum i really hate – do not buy a hoover hygiene pet hair – it cost over $500 and already the retractable cord doesn’t retract – the vacuum itself is so heavy i hate it – and you get electric shocks from the metal pipe that you hold onto (what is that bit called???) when you vacuum carpet – admit it does clean well – but it is so heavy i can hardly bother, also the cord is too, too short. i have a dog too, which is why i got it (charmed by the sales assistant) and regret it very much. I previously just had a barrel vacuum a Miele and loved it – light and simple – i was going to buy a new one of them for only about $150. i wish i had.
We have a Sharp Brand vacum from Best Buy. We have had if for over four years with two cats and a dog and the most challedging, a toddler. It is bagless and I admit dumping it is kinda gross, but easy. The filters are removable and washable. It has a beater brush and attachments. best of all it works really well and only cost us $80.
I have two large dogs and cats. I hated my Orek because the hair kept getting clogged and I was having to break it apart all the time. I went back to a Hoover with bags very plan with the normal attachments. I’ve had it over three years and it has not gotten clogged yet.

I’m really happy with current vacuum.
It is a 3 in 1 – can use it wet or dry and has a blow-dry function.
Look for one with the highest suction power.
