My 0 vacuum died on me. It’s a cheap on from Walmart and it lasted about 5 years with a lot of use. I think I need to upgrade but I don’t want to spend a fortune. I don’t know if I want a canister or upright…. but I think I want ones that take the bag. I wasn’t very happy with my bagless one- I felt it was very dirty and dusty.
Suggestions? Where should I look for a good price? Should I wait until after Christmas?

I have an Oreck, and love it. I’ve had it for 8 years, and haven’t had a single problem, and I vacuum over stuff that would kill a lesser vacuum. You get a lot for your $$, and I’m sure they’re running a gazillion specials on them. The bags are relatively reasonably priced as well.
