I need some advice on a vacuum cleaner…?

I need a good vacuum cleaner for about 0. I would LOVE to have a Dyson (as I’ve heard so many great things about them), but we just can’t afford 0+ for a vacuum. We have no dogs or cats, but do have a guinea pig who can be quite messy. Most importantly though, I have two boys, ages 5 and 3. They are pretty active, as most boys are. So here’s what I want:

A vacuum with great suction and attachments.
A vacuum that costs approximately 0.
I don’t care whether it is bagless or has bags.
Lightweight
NO suggestions for the Dirt Devil Envision. That is what I have had for the past year and it is terrible!!!!

SO…I need any advice or suggestions. Thanks! 🙂

  1. why dont you try buying a second hand dyson ? you canpick them up in your price range second hand . i would strongly recomend one , my first dyson i bought second hand lasted 8 years and never lost suction infact my sister is using it now, as i have purchased a new one .

  2. I have an Eureka that is bagless and has awesome suction. Sorry I can’t remember the name of it but it’s red. I bought it reconditioned for 80 bucks.

  3. Check pawn shops or ebay for a Dyson. Most 100$ vacs may or may not clean good but won’t last long.Best thing to do is look in yellow pages for vac shops call them for advice, might get a expensive vac cheap there too.

  4. I have a Bissell Pet Hair Eraser that rocks! It’s got bagless, HEPA filtration and picks up LOADS of pet hair and fine dust. I love to vacuum now because my carpet looks new each time. I got it for $149 at Target. It has a long hose, cord and assorted attachments. It’s a little heavier than my last vacuum, but the arm workout is worth what it picks up. The version without the "pet" part works just as well (my mom has it), and that one is only $100.
