Vacuums – When using hose, spews dust into air?

3

Firstly, this may get a bit confusing, so I’ll explain the best I can
I had an upright bagless vacuum, with utility hose.
When I use the hose and attachments, the place where the hose had been attached to on the vacuum, spews dust and debris into the air? It’s like whatever the hose is picking up is not going into the canister, but is instead just flying into the air.

  1. your hose is either clogged, cracked or making a bad connection to the canister.
It could also be clogged where the hose connects to the canister. Remove the hose and check for clogs in the hose and in the place where it attaches to the vacuum. If it is not clogged, check how well it seals to it attachment point. If the hose is cracked, get a new hose. I had a cracked hose and tried fixing it with tape. Bad idea. All the dirt stuck to the tape and made a huge mess.

  2. you need to take your filter out and clean it. if you don’t know how, take it to a vacuum repair shop and have them service it.
