Lux makes good vacuums. Not sure if they have any for under $200. They not only pick up cat hair, but they pick up unseen dust and dirt. The salesman showed me the dust in my mattress. It works really well. Good Luck!
the best is the new shark navigator. retails around 199.00 , excellent for pet fur, can be found online or at bed bath & beyond. enjoy.
