What is the best vacuum to buy?

5

Lets just start off by saying I am a single working mom of a 3 year old. I need a vacuum that can really pick up… not just the dirt, but also little bitty pieces of things too and not just push it around. Like a piece of cereal or edge of a wrapper. I have a bagless now and it seems a little dusty, but I do need some convenience. I would like one that has very good suction. Any suggestions? Price is important, but I will pay to have a long lasting good vacuum.

  1. Get a Dyson.

Before, I replaced several cheaper vacuums in the same timeframe that my Dyson has lasted (4-5 years and still going strong). That easily totaled OVER the price of the Dyson, and none were as good a quality to start with.

Do yourself the favor, learn from my experience, pay the cash up front, it’ll save you in the long haul.

The parts are all easily taken apart if anything clogs (mine never has). I too, have a long-haired, large dog (100+ lb Samoyed) plus another dog, and a cat. Easily picks up the fur, no problem. You’d never know we live in a zoo by the looks of our carpet!

A corn flake or candywrapper stands no chance.

  2. I would go with a Dyson, the one I have is suppose to be the top of line so it was about 600 dollars but there are cheaper models (I got mine because I have a dog that sheds really bad), I have had mine almost three years and never have had to replace a belt and every couple of months I was the filter.

  3. I bought the Sears Kenmore because it had one of the best ratings in consumer reports. It is the Kenmore Progressive with direct drive, IntellClean, with Hepa filtration. Model 1163592500. Don’t buy another baggless, they are dirty and put a lot of un-healthy dust back in the air when you empty it.

  4. the electrolux is the best u can find them at sears. they also have a stove that boils water in 90 seconds same name brand they have some kool stuff to pick from i like there vacumes

  5. A Dyson, hands down. I know that it’s expensive, but you’ll never be paying for bags, it’ll work for years to come (has a fantastic warranty should anything happen), and cleans like a dream. Completely worth the investment. Oh – and small, easy-to-use, no regular clean-up, important for moms!
