  1. I was planning on spending $200 to $300 on a new vac as our old one was wore out. We found a Bissell Powerforce Turbo vac for $69 at Walmart and thought we’d try it– ratings online were good. has the most suction I have ever seen- and we figured at that price, if it just lasted a couple of years it would be a good value anyway– but so far no problems, other than it will suck an area rug right up off the floor it is that powerful. I bought an extra foam filter sleeve so I can have one washed to replace when the one on the vac gets dirty– both filters are washable, and it also has a hepa filter so cleans even tiny dust. First time we used it, right after cleaning with the old vac, it was shocking how much dirt it pulled up (have an indoor/outdoor dog who brings in dirt and hair)

  2. My opinion is Dyson, but they are very expensive, my sister has one and I use it once in a while. I really think bagless maintaines suction longer.

  3. I have a TriStar. (’93-’98 model) Works fabulous. They are extremely pricey. Got ours at the flea market to save money.

  4. I have gone through over a dozen vacuums in the past 19 yrs. Now I own a dyson & it is a bag less vacuum. It has the best sucking power I have ever come across. It has only two filters that you wash and replace about every three months. The lowest cost of one that I know of is about 300.00 & that is the ball one. It comes with a full 5 yrs warrenty on the whole vacuum. You can’t beat that deal!
