upright? canister? bagless?
i have an upright bagless right now. i absolutely hate it. especially the bagless part. i’m thinking of getting a canister vac with a bag. we have some bare floor and some carpet. will a canister work?

I have an upright Bissell–It’s ok. It does the job it is supposed to. I am not really a fan of bagless vacuums either. And yes, a canister vacuum would most likely be your better choice for bare floors, as long as it has some sort of powerhead for the rugs.

I have a Hoover Windtunnel upright vacuum (it has the bag in it). That’s what I use for the floors with carpet. I just bought a Dirt Devil Kruz for my hard floors last week and I LOVE it. 🙂
My husband had some kind that was bagless that he used to use before we got married and I hate it. We’re finally selling it in our garage sale in a few weeks, although I haven’t told him that yet…
I bought a new one at Walmart, supposed to be great for the environment , no bag, washable filter. Piece of CRAP. Eureka Envirovac, don’t waste your money. Last one was a dirt devil and that one worked great for 10 years.
