What kind of vacuum cleaner do you have? Do you recommend it?

I’ve had two Hoover bagless uprights and I’m tired of fixing my recent one. I have pets and need to be able to clean up cat litter. Do you recommend your vaccum cleaner? Are bagged ones more powerful? What about canister vacs? I have NO knowledge on this so any info would be appreciated!

  1. I have a Dirt Devil enVision. It’s bagless and has heppa filters and everything. It works great. I have carpet, tile and cat litter, so I know what you mean. I have never had any problems with it. It comes with all sorts of attachments for upholstery and stairs etc. and was only $70 at Wal*Mart. I hope this helps you out. Good luck.

  2. I have a Suck-Madic Automatic. I used to use a Suckmeoff, but not anymore. I had to consult with a urologist once.

  3. I have an "IRobot Discovery" and I highly reccomend it.
It cleans on its own so I can work on other things. Some say "lazy" but now I can do those jobs I never get to like the fridge and the shower. It also has a remote. You can set a timer so you can leave the house and after 15 minutes or whatever it goes back to its base and shuts off. Comes with two virtual walls. It is a small base with an invisable light so the machine dosnet pass it. Has a remote and buttons on it, you can command it back to its base while cleaning or not. Cleans a small home 2 or 3 times before emptying the filter. Its pricey, like $300 but we got ours on Ebay for $100. It a had a "defect" but it works great!

  4. Miele.
    Pricey but so worth it.
Got bags, but very easy to change, lightweight, works well. The air coming out of it is cleaner than the air going in. It is excellent at controlling pet dander and hair ( am allergic and have 3 cats).

  5. I have heard nothing but wonders about Dyson vacuums, esp if you have pets. They are a little expensive though. Otherwise I have a Bissel (upright vacuum) and I am very pleased with it. I just wish it did better with dog hair. I am working on getting a Dyson, only because of the recommendations from dog owners. Canisters are good if you have stairs and such. Uprights are the biggest seller.

  6. I have a RAINBOW canister vac. really expensive, and a pain in the butt to use. you have to drag everything out, fill the basin with water, then empty the water , clean the basin and put it all up. a real pain.

But my house was flooded in 2004, and using that thing to suck up all the water on my floors totally saved them.

it also has many different attachments that work great, the water catches all the dust, and dose not let it back out in the air. witch is great for my husbands allergy’s.

  7. I love my Dyson. I have had it for 5 years and it is easy to maneuver, has the HEPA filter, has given me no problems and picks up stuff great.
