Samuel need help to clarify doubt about : What should i use for cleaning carpets?
I have just moved into a house that was for sometime abandoned and there are many brown stains on the carpet. It looks like what a moth would leave behind but i am not sure. I am looking for a machine that will help me clean these out, preferably one that is for purchase. Also if you know of anything to clean ceilings and walls with. Thank You.

Two machines come to mind dor DIY carpet cleaning:

From Bissell: “ProHeat 2X® CleanShot® Professional Deep Cleaner” (est. $ 200)
This is the one I own. Works fairly well for regular to heavy traffic.

From Hoover: “Steamvac® Spinscrub® Turbopower® Carpet Washer” (est. $ 150)
This one is cheaper and is more for everyday cleaning.

Chances are even if you do buy your own, you will still need to get a professional cleaning every two-three years or so, but it’s still better than every one-two years without using a carpet cleaner.

As for your walls, I’m not aware of a machine that can do it for you, but you could either use 1 cup of vinegar or 1/2 cup of ammonia in a bucket of water. Wipe with wrung out sponge and dry with a towel. If you plan on painting your walls, try trisodium phosphate (TSP) or Washing Soda (sodium carbonate) diluted in a bucket of water.
