Which one of these two vacuum cleaner should I buy?

I am looking for a vacuum cleaner that would pickup human and pet hair. Saw the following two on sale, similar reviews, so asking you guys, which one do you recommend?

http://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-Eraser-Cyclonic-Bagless-Upright/dp/B003Y3AA3C/ref=sr_1_12?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1289779842&sr=1-12

  1. Walmart shows "not available" for some reason but I HIGHLY recommend the Shark Navigator for this price range. My family has gone though so many vacuums in the past that I finally spent an hour or so online researching the most powerful vacuums for the price, sifting through toooooons of reviews.

I finally bought this Shark and my entire family is extremely impressed with how powerful it is and how easy to clean it is. Most of the reviews I found for it were other people being totally impressed as well. PLEASE at least look into it, I know my shark will be in my home for a very long time.

  2. I have that Bissell, and am sort of, kind of, happy with it. The lever that releases the canister broke after about 6 months. I use tiny needle nosed pliers to release it. I have a puppy, and we are doing remodeling in our house. If the pup chews on wood, the vacuum can’t deal with the splinters. It actually can’t deal with anything larger than a small pea. It does do a good job for regular cleaning though, but if you have pets, or have something on the carpet larger than a dried pea, the Bissell may not be the machine for you.

  3. I will tell you to get the Bissell, I have a cleaning co. and use the bissell, for they hold up and have more power, I have a bissell vac and a bissell shampooer and just recently bought the Bissell pocket floor steamer, and love it and they wear a long time with no problems good luck

  4. To be completely honest I cant, and wont, recommend anything without testing it! I personally bought the Eureka Pet
The only complaint I have with it is the pet attachment ( the one in the front above the waste container) is useless. It doesnt revolve on its own, and relies on the suction from the hose. Its revolution is easily stopped, and without it theres just no point!
Having said that, the attachment isnt necessary in my opinion anyway. A bonus if it had worked properly, but not necessary !
    Good luck! <3

  5. I have never owned a Bissell so I can’t say about that one.
I used to own a HOover. It was pretty good.
My favorite vacuums are the Dirt Devils. They do great getting up the cat hair around my house.
I have the Dynamite ( small upright ), the big upright ( I forget the model name ) and the handheld.
