  1. First two things I would check would be to make sure the belt isn’t broken. The second thing would be to make sure the control knob for setting to floor or hose is set on the floor position and not the hose setting. The belt may look ok but may be stretched to the point that when it starts the rollers it slips and does not turn them correctly. Also make sure that nothing is wrapped around the rollers binding them up and keeping them from turning correctly.
