serious vacuum problem…?

3

Tonight I sucked up a piece of plastic accidently into my Eureka Maxima bagless vacuum….It immediatley made a horrible sound, before I could shut it off and unplug it.

I took off the front. and checked the belt…it was fine, but the plastic was not there…I took off the tube…and cleaned it out and the plastic never came out…It was not caught in the filter or the bagless container. Where could it have gone? Everytime I turn it on…it makes that loud horrible noise…Could it have sucked into the motor? I didn’t think that was possible…but I can’t figure out how to get it out. Does anyone have this vacuum? Hey this is really scary…because I would really like to fix it before my husband finds out because I am constantly breaking things and he is a little tired of it. *sigh*

Thanks
thanks guys…but even when I turn it on with the hose off…it makes the sound…I have no idea where it could have sucked into…

  1. I had that happen to me, but with a nail! I looked everywhere, couldn’t find it, here it had embedded itself into the inner side where it was hitting against the agitator, hence causing the awful sound. Check inside under the agitator to see if it got embedded in there. If not there, then check the entire hose by putting a broom handle or something through it, if the piece of plastic is lodged in there, you’ll feel it. Good luck!

  2. Take a coat hanger and make it long put one end up in any open parts of the vacume it don’t sound like the plastic is there it sounds like you might have bent something
