  1. Go with the bag.

I bought a bagless, and loved it for about 2 weeks. The reason is there are usually two filters that you are supposed to change every three months or so. Mine cost 40 bucks each time I have to change them (so, check how often your bagless model needs its filters changed, and how much they cost). Also, everytime you open the cup that holds the dirt, it re-releases dust and allergens into the air (this also happens when you empty the cup into the trash).

  2. Personally I prefer the bagless.

Reason being is that it is so easier to just empty it out when I get ready versus having to replace the bags each time. Not to mention, with a bagless vacuum, you don’t have to worry about buying the bags, with the exception of a filter every now and then.

  3. Look seriously bagless are best. No hassles, fuss free and easy. Vacuum cleaner with bags are a darn nuisance and its proven to be more costly. As you always have to ensure that you have them. They often get torn if you dont place them in the correct position. While if you have a vacuum that has no bags its just easier and more economical.

  4. I own my own housekeeping business, so I vaccum every day.

Bagless are *crap* unless you maintain them VERY well or spend mega bucks on a Dyson. Bagless vaccs rely on a series of filters to trap dust and other particulate matter and unless you pull them out every vaccum and clean them and also replace them every few months they will get clogged and the vaccum will no longer work. Sorry, but I don’t want to do that even if I wasn’t vaccuming every day.

I like the Windtunnel upright bag vaccum, but even the cheap Bissel Powerforce is better than a bagless that costs 4 times as much, and I have tried alot of bagless vaccs. The only one that is worth a damn is the Dyson.

  5. bagless, they have better suction, they dont clog as often, you never have to buy replacement bags or empty smelly dusty ones, l bought a bagless cheapy not long ago and its great, better than a vax!!!!

  6. I would go bagless and totally upright because it is wayyy easier! I used to have a vacuum cleaner with a bag and i would forget to get bags… and then you can just dump the canister thing in the trash.
