Whats wrong with my hoover?

4

Hi.

I have an upright bagless Hoover DM6200.

Here it is:

When I am hoovering, it seems to be depositing the dust and crap back out. The carpet ends up worse then it originally was! The band defiantly hasn’t broken as the brush is still spinning. Its past its warranty (conveniently lol)

Any ideas?

  1. First thing, you must check the filters. Make sure they are either clean or replaced if needed. If this does not do for you, there’s a possibility that either the hose or the auger intake compartment are plugged with lint from the carpet or hair from Fido or Missifu. To clean the hose, disconnect it, take it out of the house, stick a wooden stick to remove lint or hair and then give it a blast of water using the garden hose. Make sure to inspect the intake uger is free of lint as well. To clean the auger intake you can use a piece of wire. It always work for me…! good luck…!

  2. Strip down the vacuum cleaner at the base down to its component parts and you will find a blockage in the pipe going from the foot to the collector. Mine had the same problem.

  3. some times the hoses that carry the dust to the unit CRACK and leak the dust right back into the air. just fixed mine last week. I wrapped electrical pvc tape completely covering the hoses just to be safe.
