When do I cut my losses and get a new vacuum?

I know this is kind of a lame question and more of an opinion poll or has this happended to you question. I have a bagless Eureka vacuum that is and has been a good vacuum, but I realized that when I order this next filter and belt kit that I will have at least paid for in filters or surpassed the price paid for the actual vacuum. I bought it at Walmart like 4 years ago. At that time they sold the filters it needed. I have since had to order them from Eureka, in a filter and belt kit, as the store no longer sells the filters. I used the last packet of them last week and realized if I have to order this kit again () I will have surpassed by now what I even paid for the vacuum. The vacuum does work but I am thinking about just using the vacuum til the current filters are just yuck and then buying a new vacuum, being sure to buy alot of filters at the store with it.
This vaccum was only originally like

  1. A good bagless will cost over $200 ~ I say keep the one you have it still works… a filer should last a year ~ when you empty the canister, be sure to also, remove the filter and shake out as well as you can… preferable outdoors… gack! and you you can buy filters directly from eureka online…

A belt should last years … it you are having more frequent breaks, I ssay ditch the old one & look for a vacuum with a covered belt.

If you choose to get a new one ~ please donate, give away or sell the old one 😉

  2. you can get a really good one for under $100
You can also clean the filters under running water first take off all the hair and excess dirt and grime. make sure you let it dry thoroughly before use.
